I created this blog to fulfill a class requirement for BUAD477. I choose this topic because not only do I find it interesting and relevant, I think it is important that others learn more about energy. Although most of us are probably numb to the statement "we are in an energy crisis," it is still important to remember that oil will not always be available, and that alternative energy options are not for the future but for the present.

I read about another form of energy, although at present the technology is very much in the development stage and the current aim is to power cell phones, PDA’s and such small devices. I am talking about motion-powered batteries. Then, after a suggestion in one of the classes I am taking, I started wondering if we could start cars traditionally at first and then use the motion of the car to generate enough power to run it. That would be amazing, wouldn’t it? Do you know much of organizations that aggressively promote alternate forms of energy that are commercially viable, in the PETA mould? That would be a nice blog to read.
this seems like an interesting topic, that i would definately like to learn more about. As one of your fellow classmates, and needing to comment on a blog at least 10 times, i think this is a blog that can keep my interest. what type of different energy methods are you going to talk about and where is it that you will be most of your information? the only thing that worries me about commenting on your blog is that i have very limited knowledge on the topic, and if it gets too scientific i will probably get lost. However, i do have a slim bit of knowledge in the areas of solar energy and wind, so i'm looking forward to hearing more about these. Good luck on the blog and i look forward to learning more
